We strongly believe that the knowledge and technology available to financial planners can help empower people to make better decisions about money.
Conversely, poor financial literacy is a material disadvantage in life. As a business, widening access to financial advice is core to our growth strategy. But in the meantime, we are also happy to offer pro bono services in the following areas:
Financial literacy programmes
- We believe financial education is important, especially in early years, and is often neglected in the education system. We work with a number of schools, colleges and universities to help deliver it to their pupils and students.
Financial education for your staff
- We also provide surgery sessions for companies with young workforces and freelancers/gig workers who will benefit from a steer on their finances as they start their journey. Depending on the size of your firm and its requirements we can provide this as a paid-for company benefit or a pro bono service.
Pension education for public sector workers
- A lot of key workers in the public sector have valuable and complicated Defined Benefit pension arrangements and it's hard to get impartial guidance on these. We can provide sessions at schools, colleges and hospitals for their staff, for example on understanding pension statements and projections.
Trustee education
- Lay trustees of family settlements and small charities take on these roles for admirable reasons. But it is often in informal settings where they do not appreciate or understand their duties and responsibilities. In partnership with our legal and accountancy contacts, we can provide education to lay trustees of small charities as a free service.
